Our black pre-waxed BS 14x12 plastic foundation comes with 2 clips to support the foundation at the bottom bars, there will be approx. 5mm gap between the plastic foundation and the bottom bars which the bees normally build down to meet the bottom bars.
Once the combs have been drawn they are virtually unbreakable allowing you to extract faster and if you have hard honey y6ou are able to scrape the frame back to the plastic comb. The foundation does not sit in the grooves of the side bars but simply in between the side bars.
